Make it stand out

This crisp, bright and light Pinot Grigio has light floral aromas, with expressive flavors of green apple, ripe peach, citrus, and tropical fruits. These particular grapes where harvested in the warm climates of Sonoma County, California. Due to the warm climate you can expect a lightly sweater taste then that of cooler climates of Pinot Grigio. Pinot Grigio is the second most popular wine in America.

Tannins of our Pinot Grigio would present a darker color versus a pale white, then that of Pinot Grigio of Italy or France where it’s known as Pinot Gris. Pinot Gris’s skins are not green like other wine grapes, but instead have a greyish blue hue, which is what gives then their names.

Although Pinot Grigio plants very well in the US, make no mistake that Pinot Grigio was born in Italy. Later imported to the United States, is when it began it’s claim to fame.

Serve chilled. Enjoy this Pinot Grigio with salmon, roasted chicken, calamari, sauteed scallops, or on its own as an aperitif.

dukes wine sauvignon blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a widely recognized white wine that is renowned for its unique herbal and grassy flavors, as well as its invigorating acidity. The grape variety is grown in a range of regions, producing a diverse selection of styles, from crisp and light to full and complex. Interestingly, Sauvignon Blanc is also the parent of the renowned Cabernet Sauvignon grape. The aroma profile of Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by an intense, in-your-face bouquet ranging from freshly mown grass, green peas, and asparagus, to tropical and ripe passion fruit, grapefruit, or even mango. Depending on the winemaker's style, some Sauvignon Blancs may also display expressive flavors of melon, lemon, and lime. As a light-bodied wine, Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with a variety of dishes, including chicken, pork, turkey, crab, lobster, bass, and smoked salmon. It is also an excellent match for an array of cheeses, such as warm goat cheese, burrata, mozzarella di bufala, goat gouda, feta, parmesan, or sour cream. It is best served chilled and complements well with fresh fruit, green salads, roasted chicken, grilled salmon, Fettuccini Alfredo, or as an aperitif. Notably, Deon Dukes, a renowned wine critic, prefers Sauvignon Blanc as an aperitif.

DUKES RED WINES

Dukes Wine Malbec

Malbec is a robust red wine variety cultivated in the Temecula region of California. Renowned for its luscious, dark fruit profiles and nuanced smoky undertones, Malbec offers a compelling alternative to higher-priced varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Thriving in warm, sun-drenched climates, the Malbec grape demands ample sunlight and heat for optimal ripening, distinguishing it from varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Characterized by its deep, inky hue—often reminiscent of violet—Malbec produces wines of remarkable intensity and depth. While frequently showcased as a standalone varietal, Malbec also serves as a key component in blends, notably in conjunction with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, contributing to France's renowned red Bordeaux claret blend.

dukes wine merlot

Merlot is typically characterized as a dry, medium to full-bodied wine exhibiting moderate acidity, moderate to high alcohol content, and supple yet discernible tannins. This esteemed dark blue-colored wine grape variety holds a dual purpose, serving both as a blending component and as a standalone varietal.

The etymology of the name "Merlot" is believed to derive from "merle," the French term for blackbird, likely referencing the grape's deep hue. Renowned for its inherent softness and "fleshiness," coupled with its propensity for earlier ripening, Merlot enjoys widespread acclaim for its versatility in blending. It harmonizes seamlessly with the more robust, later-ripening Cabernet Sauvignon, tempering its pronounced tannic structure with Merlot's plush texture and fruit-forward character.

dukes wine pinot noir

Pinot Noir red wine is made from black-skinned grapes that thrive in cooler climates. It's difficult to grow, but when done right, it produces elegant and complex wines. It originated in France and is highly valued for its finesse. Burgundy is its spiritual home, but it also thrives in other cooler regions, the United States, Sw, and aging ability including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Australia, and Chile. Dukes Wine's Pinot Noir is cultivated in Southern California and has complex flavors of cherry, raspberry, mushroom, and forest floor, aged in French oak. It's a dry, light-to-medium-bodied wine with bright acidity, silky tannins, and an alcohol content ranging from 12-15%.

Dukes c# Cabernet sauvignon

The grapes used for our Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested in Ramona, California in 2020 and were then fermented in oak barrels for a year. This process results in a classic Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of black currant, blackberry, and toasty oak. The wine has a concentrated black fruit flavor and a smooth texture, which leads to a complex and slightly dry finish.

Furthermore, the C# tasty tune notation was inspired by a jazz song composed by Deon Dukes called "Red Oak Trees." The song is about the struggle to find hidden treasure in minor notes but ultimately discovering glimpses of red oak aromas just above the horizon that finish in dominant major chords.

DUKES FRUIT WINES

DUKES STRAWBERRY PASSION WINE

"Strawberry Passion" is a fruit wine that has a rich history and a unique flavor profile. It is the first berry fruit experiment by Deon's grandfather, Sie Dukes, and is considered the "OG" or Original Grandfather of fruit wines. This wine was also the first one that Deon learned to make in 2017, making it an important part of his family's legacy.

The strawberries used to make "Strawberry Passion" were harvested in Temecula, California, where the warm climate and fertile soil create ideal conditions for growing these juicy and flavorful berries. The wine itself has a distinct taste that is both sweet and tangy, with notes of ripe strawberries and a hint of citrus.

Every bottle of "Strawberry Passion" is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of Sie Dukes and a tribute to the rich history of fruit wine-making in California.

DUKES MIXED BERRY PASSION WINE

I'm still thrilled with one of the best infusions I made last year - a delicious semi-sweet Mixed Berry wine. This exquisite blend is a perfect harmony of the juicy flavors of Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackberry, and a hint of blueberry. I meticulously adjusted the ratios to make Raspberry the base of the wine, which gave the mixed berry blend a stunning, deep red tannin. The organic berries were carefully fermented in a stainless steel tank and then finished in an oak barrel to give the wine a distinct, refined taste. Once you uncork the bottle, you'll be greeted with the wine's enchanting aroma - a blend of fruity, fresh scents that will make your mouth water. I recommend chilling this wine to bring out the full range of flavors and pairing it with some delicious cheese and crackers. Trust me, it's a perfect match!

This wine is a real delicacy as it is not produced every year, and only the best peaches are used to create this unique flavor. At Dukes Wine, we take pride in our rigorous selection process, where only the sweetest and most succulent peaches are chosen for our Peach Passion wine. This year's harvest was especially good, making the wine even more exceptional. Our Peach Passion wine is organically grown in the lush farms of Reedley, California, where it is carefully tended to until it reaches its peak ripeness. The fermentation process for this wine takes around 62-70 days, and we have found that our stainless steel aging process helps to maximize its rich, peachy flavor. For the final 30 days, the wine is transferred to an oak barrel, which gives it a beautifully roasted back-end flavor. You can enjoy Peach Passion chilled as a casual solo drink, where its flavors will transport you to a summeria.

DUKES PLUM PASSION WINE

In 2018, Deon Dukes masterfully created one of our original flavors, named "Plum Passion". This flavor was also one of the first ones used for customer experimentation opinion projects during the establishment of Dukes Wine. The enthusiastic response from our customers was overwhelming, and "Plum Passion" quickly became one of our top-selling wines.

If you haven't tried it yet, you're in for a real treat. "Plum Passion" has a unique flavor that doesn't require any pairing. Just chill your bottle before serving and enjoy the perfection in every sip.

The red plums used in "Plum Passion" were harvested from Kens Top Notch Farms in Reedley, California. These plums were aged for 120 days in oak wood barrels, which gives the wine its rich and distinctive red plum flavor. With every sip, you can taste the care and expertise that went into creating this marvelous wine.

DUKES APPLE 'Pòm PASSION WINE

Duke's Wine proudly presents the 2022 edition of "The Sweet Crisp Gala Apple White Wine". This wine is perfect for toasting to the New Year and is eagerly awaited by our customers every September when apple season begins. We take great care to preserve the freshness of the apples and the breezy fall season notes by delicately fermenting the wine with minimal oxygen exposure.

This year's sweet red Gala Apple wine has a high alcohol content of about 14.8 percent, but the sweet apple taste masks the alcohol levels, giving the wine a refreshing sangria-like taste. You can expect fresh grassy notes, hints of fall leaves, and strong apple aromas.

The wine is named "Red Apple 'Pòm Rouj'" and was inspired by Sie Dukes' native birthplace in New Orleans, where the broken French language known as "Creole" is spoken.
